The successful candidate will provide advice to potential grant applicants, assess grant applications and make recommendations to decision makers. They will also manage a caseload of grants in delivery, processing grant payment requests in a timely manner and effectively monitoring any risks to HES investment. They will have knowledge of grants management, experience of managing multiple projects and excellent communication skills.

The Grants Team has a budget of around £12m, funding projects across Scotland which conserve, celebrate and widen access to the historic environment. HES Grants support community groups and heritage organisations.

There are two posts, one permanent and one fixed term pensionable appointment. The fixed term post is to 31 March 2023.
