As Head of Collections & Applied Conservation you will lead on the management of collections associated with the Properties in Care of Scottish Ministers and the specialist HES Conservator team. We pride ourselves in having a high percentage of our collections on display within the communities we serve and managing the challenges this can bring. Our collections bring our properties to life and are an integral part of our visitor offer.

As a head of service and senior manager, you will be expected to lead our work in this area and deliver our Corporate Plan objectives. You will manage a highly capable team of professional and dedicated staff. You will manage the department’s resources, capabilities and capacity; to play a full role in all aspects of the business and management of the Conservation Directorate and to provide advice to members of the HES Senior Management Team and HES Board.
