Below you will find the answers to some frequently asked questions.

Q: What should I do if I am having difficulty applying online?

Q: How do I register?

A: To register online you will need to enter your email address and create a password. Once you have registered your details you will be sent a confirmation email containing a link. You must click on this link to activate your account. You will also need to register to use the job alerts service.

Q: Is your online application system secure?

A: Yes, all registration, application and candidate account pages are accessed via a secure connection.

Q: I haven't received my confirmation email?

A: Account activation emails are sent automatically. Please check your junk mail and spam folders if you do not receive the email. If you are still experiencing problems please contact recruit@hes.scot

Q: I've forgotten my password

A: You can send yourself a password reminder.

Q: What is my user name?

A: Your user name is the email address you registered with.

Q: How do I change my contact details?

A: You can edit personal information, such as name, address and email preferences through your account settings.

Q: How long do I have to complete an online application?

A: You have 90 minutes to complete your application form. If you do not complete or save your application within this time you risk losing information you have entered. You can save and return to your application at any time by selecting the 'save and continue later' button.
